How do I log in?

I feel like a dumbass, but how do I log in? When I put my username (@saulrs951:matrix.org) in the login screen, it says that it's an "Invalid username or password". Is it because the thing that most people (me) would find when they try to find their username includes their homeserver? If this is the case, can't you edit the login process so it would detect the homeserver from the username/address?

Did you make sure to click on the actual matrix.org server (or type its address in the bottom bar), in the list that shows up before the user/password dialog? The user field accepts both usernames and full user IDs, but it won't try to detect another server than the one that was already selected.
