needs rewrite

the code sucks and is buggy because I wrote most of it 2 years ago

specifically needs rewrite to be async

i would love to rewrite this to use pointerpaths instead of server queries for data but i cannot be assed to do that in python

i would also LOVE to rewrite this in ANYTHING that isn't python (maybe C#) because i absolutely hate trying to wrangle python to get it to work with anything more complicated than a 20 line script
