Make a github release so that F-Droid will re-build this package?
First of all, big thanks for the app, it's a really good app to understand some of the Android machinery, as well as actually control some of it.
The question of this issue is -- would it make sense to make a "release" here on github? It would then be picked by F-Droid, which will allow re-building it. The last F-Droid build was a very, very long time ago https://f-droid.org/wiki/page/com.elsdoerfer.android.autostarts and the build itself is even considered "incorrect" by F-Droid client. Hence the "DisabledAlgorithm", "KnownVuln" badges. Therefore it no longer even appears on the app list, and in search: https://f-droid.org/packages/#q=autostarts
Please help adding it back by making a release? Thanks.
Making a Github release is all I have to do? It will be picked up automatically by F-Droid?
@miracle2k I'm not sure 100%, but I think so.
Hi,
Any news about this?
Reference: https://f-droid.org/wiki/page/com.elsdoerfer.android.autostarts
@michalbednarski it would not be picked up automatically (auto-update-check has been turned off) – but if you'd make a new release (plus tag) and let us know, we can trigger it.
Any updates on that? I would love to see a new release on f-droid.
Could I help somehow?
@IzzySoft: If official F-Droid repo isn't possible for now for whatever reason what about a release on your repo?
@STPKITT How? If there's no release and no APK, no chance I can put it in mine, sorry. And if there were, it should have a package name that differs from the original – unless the original dev approves.
@IzzySoft: I lack the knowledge so I didn't really know what was missing and it was just meant as a general question. Thanks for answering though!
@STPKITT no worries. That's why I included the explanation :wink:
