Updating Foxtrick Light
Hello. I am a visually impaired software developer. The standard version of foxtrick creates a lot of accessibility problems in chrome with the jaws screen reader. I installed foxtrik light, and that works fine. However, it has not been updated in years, and I would like to take advantage of whatever improvements have been added since then.
Could one of the existing developers guess how much effort it would take to update foxtrick light so it has all the features of the current version without any of the presentation modifications? If it's just as simple as cherry picking the commits that don't affect screen presentation, then I could try to do that, but I feel it's more complicated than that.
Hello.
The way light builds are created is simply by removing not-white-listed modules just after running the process of a stable build. Since I have not felt the state of the project to be anywhere near worthy to be called 'stable' I have not released a stable build for literally years.
As a consequence, there has not been a new light build for just as long. I must apologize for that.
Unfortunately, while the addon keeps breaking and piling up new bugs along with any major changes by HTs or browser ecosystem, I don't really have much time to dedicate to the project. Perhaps you could help out as well, with the focus on visual-impaired issues?
For starters, our module whitelist may be more or less arbitrary and could benefit from double-checking.
@BeastlyTheos major accessibility hurdles have been recently removed.
