String which contains the substring "EOF"?

Some poorly-written applications may treat the string "EOF" as an end of file without regard for context (as opposed to bash)

I seem to remember a story like this being posted on Hacker News, where some old business software crashed if a file contained the literal text "EOF". Can't find it now though.
