next unread link does not always work

The next link when reading unread does not always load next item. It will randomly fails and a reload of the page is needed to fix the next link

On place it does not work is after watching an embedded YouTube clip

I've experienced this too. I've a feeling interacting with any embedded content is the issue. Presumably the embedded content steals the keyboard/mouse focus. My workaround is to click in the page somewhere outside embedded content. At which point keyboard control starts working again.

(Not to be confused with what happens when you reach the end of unread items and there is nowhere else to go.)
