Crafting doesn't really work

I've downloaded the latest version as of today on MacOS Big Sur, and I'm happy to say that it's working really well. The main issue I've encountered is crafting. Whenever I try to craft something, either in the recipe book or manually, the items go into the crafting grid but there is nothing in the output slot. It's really annoying, because crafting is half of the game (literally). It would be great if that could be fixed.

I believe this is different than #478, as I can see all recipes in the recipe book, they just don't work.

Another thing I noticed is that it does work if you click on it directly in the recipe book, just not if you use the recipe book to put it in the crafting grid, and not if you just use the grid

as far as i can tell, it does sound like the same issue, as you can see the recipies in the original issue, and they're actionable, you just can't use the grid
