Use Case

Amplication is an open-source low-code development platform for building quality NodeJS applications. It automatically generates the API (GraphQL/REST), manages authentication and logging, and also provides an Admin UI to manage the application.

• MindsDB will allow users to experience the power of ML in their apps developed through Amplication.
• Users can easily design any specific Predictor model as per their needs.
• Users can also use any of the pre-defined ML models from the list of suggestions based on their type of app.
• Users will have the ability to work with the Predictor models with the dynamic updates datasets logged directly from the live app.

Motivation

As the world is gradually transitioning to low-code or no-code way of developing apps, such platforms are in huge demand in the current market. Amplication is indeed a great platform to generate quality NodeJS apps and is also open-sourced with a huge user-base and great community that believe in building and thriving together.

So, this integration will be a great add-on for the users of Amplication to try and embed ML into their apps.

Implementation

Amplication is going to allow integrations with external apps through custom code or webhooks. We can easily trigger the webhooks based on events or DB change events, after generating the app and having a well-defined data model.

They also have a very supportive community on Discord where we can get in touch with the team and work together to make this achievable.
