This might be related to https://github.com/tldraw/tldraw/pull/5176 (or, @SomeHats I know you were looking at some retina/export-stuff maybe lately?)

We're still trying to provide proper contenteditable support for shapes (example PR: https://github.com/tldraw/tldraw/pull/3051 ). Thanks for raising this though so that we keep focus issues in mind while developing this.

I might have been a little terse in my response, just to clarify: what I want to convey is that we could do some kind surgical workaround for this use-case...
