UI/UX suggestions & improvements
Basic functionality to add:
- add HEX color text field for user color (this is actually an Etherpad issue)
- add »select all« checkbox in selection mode
UI Behaviour:
- ~~open~~ share pad entry directly by swiping right
- select pad entry by swiping left
- sort pads (edited, accessed, name | ascending, descending)
- night mode (follow system theme | Material You)
- move »edit, share & delete« as buttons to the toolbar in selection mode
- long press on the group button adds all lines in the clipboard as groups (confirmation if more than 8 lines)
Option schemes for additional options:
- Add from clipboard (long press on »new pad« button adds a pad link from clipboard to the list and automatically detects if it's a generic or specific link; if the link is generic, an input field for the name spawns)
- open the pad directly
- add all pad links found in the clipboard
Re "open pad entry directly by swiping right" I think it should be opened directly by a single tap. The vast majority of the time, I want to access the pad. I almost never want to see the information on the screen that I currently get when I tap on a pad in the list of pads - URL, dates added and last viewed, and number of times accessed. I would expect that kind of metadata to be available perhaps via an (i) information icon, and perhaps also via long-press context menu.
