Hi deep learners!

As we transition our classroom online, we are going to be relying more heavily on github to coordinate classroom activities. In particular, we will be using github issues for all non-grade classroom communication [1]. I will post announcements, lecture videos, and zoom links here as issues (see #2 for an example), and if you have a question about a homework assignment you should create a new issue (see #3 for an example).

There are two things you need to know in order to use github issues effectively.

You must be "watching" this repo. This will ensure that whenever a new issue is posted, you will get an email. If you don't already have a github account, you'll need to create one.
Markdown is the language for formatting issues. (This is the same language used to format the README.md files.) The main thing you need to know about markdown is how to include code snippets. To include inline code, use the single backtick ` like this and to include a code block use triple backticks ```

Whenever you include code in an issue or a reply to an issue, you must use these formatting options or it won't display correctly and I won't be able to help you. Markdown has many other formatting options. You're not required to use any of these options, but if you're curious here's a tutorial: https://guides.github.com/features/mastering-markdown/
