0.8.1 appImage fails to load

As per my previous usage of these file formats, everything is contained in a single executable file which includes all dependant libs. But I get this error when I run this appimage on ubuntu 22.04

./gossip.0.8.1.AppImage: error while loading shared libraries: libavutil.so.58: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

OK. I think I am going to stop supporting AppImage. the cargo-appimage tool doesn't seem to be well supported, and doesn't seem to be doing the right thing.
