Local file reading with CBR/CBZ on lower spec device difficult

Open SanderCN opened this issue 8 months ago • 1 comments

Steps to reproduce

  1. Have a device with a low amount of RAM (ex. 2GB)
  2. Open a large CBR/CBZ file (ex. 936MB)
  3. Open it through the local files 'extension'

Expected behavior

The comic should open as expected with no errors

Actual behavior

An ENOMEM (Out of Memory) error gets displayed and the comic is impossible to open, unless the CBR/CBZ file gets extracted to a folder.

Crash logs

No response

Mihon version

0.18.0

Android version

Android 11

Device

Samsung SM-T510

Other details

While extracting the file and opening it that way avoids the out of memory issue, it is far from being user friendly. Having an option to use the pre-2024 (Issue #134) for these devices would be highly appreciated.
