Unable to install Airlfow Components on Machines with Python 2.7 and Python 3.5

Open ysule opened this issue 5 years ago • 2 comments

Hi, I tried to install the MPack on machines which had Python 3.5 and Python 2.7.14 installed. The Symbolic links for the python installations are separate. But whenever the Airflow Worker tries to install, it fails while trying to install the docutils package via pip. Ambari version: 2.7.3 HDP version: 3.1.0

Is this a known issue? every other service installed via custom mpacks works fine.

do you find a way to do the installation? I have the same problem. It seems Airflow 1.10.0 works with python 3.6+ but when installing using this mpack, Ambari uses python 2.7 and thus raising error when installing python packages.

I gave up on this mpack and wrote an Ansible Deployment for Airflow. Works as intended
