quick boot via saved state

Some systems (notably the new OS X ones) are extremely slow to boot, taking as much as 5 minutes.

#182 saves the disk, but it would be really nice if you could save the actual state of the VM, to come back to it later without a full boot.

Even better would be the option to "skip boot". This would provide casual users with the desktop immediately. The time would be wrong, but I don't think that's a showstopper?

While this would be great to do, it's somewhat complex to implement. The state of every single emulator subsystem would also have to persisted and restored.
