It is not trivial to deal with the output array containing tuples (see issue #265); an example would help.

Refactor and remove `noqa` comment.

This should speed up distributing the data and collecting the results. However, I expect the overall performance gain to be small.

At the moment, several modules have I/O functionality. We should refactor the code to consolidate the I/O functionality in a new coherent package called `brainiak.io`.

I.e., high-level documentation.

I see no documentation for `termination_processing` and a couple of others.

At this moment, GitHub reports the status of `devel` as: "This branch is 5 commits ahead, 7 commits behind master." Is this intended?
