I agree, I would be hesitant to put anything other than a README and a LICENSE into git by default. Code is another candidate, but only if the file identifiers...
Does it produce any metadata from participants.tsv? It would only be read when generating dataset-level metadata. But you are pointing it to a single file, without giving it a `--dataset`.

Why would you would like to see that? Those are metadata. They describe subject/session/task, but they are not itself part of the data that makes up subject/session/task.
I dont see how this should be done for a semantic markup, please make a proposal. That being said, I think we will end up with separate extractors for metadata...
