text area to set cut start/end time mouse doubleclick behavior & overwrite instead of adding new digit

Open slrslr opened this issue 4 years ago • 4 comments

LC 3.39.0 Hello,

in advanced view i can set exact time of the cut start/end. Example: 00:23:55.000 - 00:25:55.000 I usually mouse double click and expect it will highlight 2 digits - either hours or minutes. For hours and minutes it works like that but for seconds it highlight also miliseconds (per the example above: 55.000) and this is not handy.

A) highlight only 55 B) highlight like it is now, but after i type lets say 33 and click outside, it will not require me to manually type miliseconds - it will reset miliseconds value to 000 or keep the old value

Second thing that i think needs improving is: i have not highlighted any number, but have cursor before some number and when i type some number it should overwrite old number instead of adding the number creating invalid value (3 hours digits, 3 minutes digit...), if there is single digit and expected are 2 digits, maybe it should add instead of overwriting.

4 years later, the doubleclick on seconds highlights also miliseconds.

i'm not sure how to implement that change. also there hasn't been much activity here (no +1 👍 on your issue) for 4 years

Wouldn't help to replace dot by colon to make the seconds highlighting works the same as minutes and hours? I am unsure how correct it is that doubleclick highlights beyond the dot, but not beyond the colon.

that's a bit problematic, because it makes it impssible to distinguish between e.g. 01:23 (1 min 23 sec) and 01.23 (1 second 23 centiseconds)
