Action blocked / settings issue?

Open ediooo opened this issue 2 years ago • 11 comments

I am getting action blocked within 2 hours even after logging out for a few days before trying again. Is there a setting I need to change?

I thought my settings are very "unaggressive" - why am I getting action blocked so much? Any suggested tweaks to my settings? Maybe I am missing something?

Thank you!

{ userAgent: '', maxFollowsPerDay: 12, maxFollowsPerHour: 4, maxLikesPerDay: 10, maxLikesPerUser: 1, enableFollowUnfollow: true, followUserRatioMin: null, followUserRatioMax: null, followUserMaxFollowers: 20000, followUserMaxFollowing: 20000, followUserMinFollowers: 90, followUserMinFollowing: 10, dontUnfollowUntilDaysElapsed: 5, runAtHour: 7, }

I am running 1.11.2 GUI version on raspi and I am not logged into any other devices when using the bot.

How old is your account. See also other issues about the same problem

I could not find a solution in the other issues here. My account is 7+ years old, and used manually regularly - not only for the bot. Should I change anything in the above settings, or elsewhere?

Nobody knows for sure. Hard to debug. Can only trial and error and report back findings.

Hi, I still did not get the bot to perform any actions, even though I logged out and paused for multiple weeks. I always get the "we limit certain actions - report a problem" window.

I set my raspi to a static IP address, no difference. I made sure to be only logged into the bot when running it, no difference. I confirmed all "suspicious login attempts" on the mobile app with the same account.

What is the most confusing: The account itself seems not to be action blocked.

I can follow people without problems if I use my phone (all on the same account and same WIFI)

Is there anything left I could try?

does it work in a browser (e.g. chromium) on the same raspberry pi?

mifi avatar Feb 15 '23 06:02 mifi

Do you mean logging into chromium without using the bot and manually follow someone to see if that works?

yes

Just tried it. Same result " we restrict certain activity..." when trying to follow anyone. Still works fine on same account/wifi on my iphone.

Seems like my action block caused by the bot is still active for the raspi device? Anything I should try to change that?

Thanks!

Probably a combination of ip address and browser profile and/or user agent. Not sure how to solve it

mifi avatar Feb 15 '23 09:02 mifi

Ok, I'll experiment further witha different static IP and and browser profile. in my bot settings I currently have '' as user agent. What else can I set there?

ediooo avatar Feb 15 '23 10:02 ediooo

... and what can I set as browser profile?
