Bot "unfollows" if I'm already following the user

I just realized that the bot will sometimes pick people that I am already following and will unfollow them. Any workarounds for this?

the bot is supposed to only unfollow users that it has previously tried to follow. maybe it first tried to follow it but it was already followed by you. if you could check your followed.json or unfollowed.json if this user is there, that would be nice to know
