A side question regarding LICENSE

I have seen that the license of this code is apache. I had in mind a question for quite some time: What's the major difference between 3 clause MIT and APACHE 2 license?

If I want the code to be 100% free would MIT be a better choice? Why did you choose to use APACHE 2?
