cant hold to increase or secrease volume

I can only change volume by clicking the buttons continuously to change the volume, but when i disable homegesture, I can tap and hold to change volume

I'm having this issue as well. Enabling Hold lock for Siri and Volume up/Lock for screenshot in the HomeGesture settings reduces the delay until the volume change starts but it doesn't resolve the issue entirely
