Logic Pro - Plugin goes offbeat when recording, bouncing a project / region, freezing a track or duplicating a track

Open exurd opened this issue 1 year ago • 5 comments

Version: 0.11.1 DAW: Logic Pro 11.1.2 on macOS 15.2 (24C101) (Apple Silicon, M4 Macbook Pro)

The plugin goes off beat when trying to record, bounce or freeze. Turning the plugin off and on brings the instrument back to the beat.

Test project file (with bounced sound and MIDI file in "Bounces" folder): jc-303 test.zip

One workaround to record the plugin:

  1. Send the output of the plugin track to an empty bus
  2. Create a new audio track
  3. Change the input of the created audio track to the bus in step 1
  4. Click the play button (Space key), and then hit record (R)

Hi @exurd ,

Thank you for reporting this bug.

Can you tell me if this behaviour happens on any other DAW other than logic?

On my Mac, I couldn't get JC-303 to go offbeat on Ableton Live Lite 12.1.5 (AUv2) or REAPER v7.33 (VST3, AU, LV2 and CLAP).

Thanks for the info and tests,

Can you test it with Logic where it happens the problem with only 1x jc303 plugin loaded instead of 2? maybe it is related to another open issue....

This issue can happen with only 1 jc303 plugin loaded in.

@exurd, sorry for the late response, can you please tell me if the problem persist at latest version of jc303 0.12.2?

Closing due to inativity, please check #30 that could be a related opened issue.

Understandable, something happened this month and I won't have access to my MacBook for a while... I hope the other issue is closely related to this one!

feel free to re-open in case you could test it, i have only compiled a linux version for this test trying to solve the other issue, but if you have time let me know i can compile another for macos too. or you can wait to see if the other issue solves yours when i release a new version with the fixes.
