Describe the issue Could we run the bot locally on MacOS?

If by "the bot" you mean any application-hosted media bot, then no. Perhaps with a virtual machine running Windows on top of your MacOS.

If you are talking about remote-media bots, then yes. You can run those on MacOS. They don't rely on Windows platform specifics.

See this documentation for choosing between the two. If your use-case is best covered by application-hosted media, then you will not be able to run/host the bot on MacOS platform.
