PulseAudio: Unable to connect: Connection refused

Open Nearoo opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

Windows build number:

10.0.22621.0

Your Distribution version:

Ubuntu 20.04.5 LTS

Your WSL versions:

WSL version: 0.70.4.0 Kernel version: 5.15.68.1 WSLg version: 1.0.45 MSRDC version: 1.2.3575 Direct3D version: 1.606.4 DXCore version: 10.0.25131.1002-220531-1700.rs-onecore-base2-hyp Windows version: 10.0.22621.819

Steps to reproduce:

I don't know the relevancy of those steps towards the bug

  1. Open VS Code
  2. Develop for a while, using PulseAudio
  3. PulseAudio Breaks

WSL logs:

pulseaudio.log stderr.log weston.log

WSL dumps:

No response

Expected behavior:

Continue to use audio

Actual behavior:

Some part of the pulse audio setup crashes, ALSA returns:

ALSA lib pulse.c:242:(pulse_connect) PulseAudio: Unable to connect: Connection refused

Restarting the distro using wsl --shutdown fixes the issue for a couple of minutes.
