WinGet seems confused about the version of GitHub Desktop I have installed
Brief description of your issue
WinGet seems to think I have GitHub Desktop 3.3.4 when I do a list, but if I do an upgrade, it says I have 3.3.3. What gives?
Steps to reproduce
I don't know how I got into this situation other than to install GitHub desktop and periodically check for upgrades via WinGet.
Expected behavior
If winget list GitHub.Desktop reports 3.3.4, so should winget upgrade.
Actual behavior
As shown below, I see different versions depending on if I run list or upgrade.

Can you post the logs and output of winget list 'github' ?
I'm guessing it's likely because you have two versions of GitHub Desktop installed - one which is version 3.3.3 and one which is version 3.3.4. I was able to replicate the same thing on my VM by using the exe to install one version and the msi to install the other

Hmm. That's very weird. The output and logs definitely indicate only one version of GitHub desktop is installed. Have you tried forcing the upgrade using winget install GitHub.GitHubDeskop --force ?
Oh, it tries to install it. But it still says I have an old version installed even after the fresh install completes.
When you look in Windows Apps & Features do you see one version or two installed?
somehow i can't winget upgrade GitHub.GitHubDesktop at all.
