vsts-extension-multivalue-control "Multivalue control by Microsoft DevLabs is taking longer than expected to load"

Several times a week we see error message saying "Multivalue control by Microsoft DevLabs is taking longer than expected to load.Learn More about this extension, including available support options."

Is this something that can be fixed, optimized?

It gets fixed after a few refreshes, but it's quite annoying.

We're also receiving this, our users are complaining. No other addins have this error. Servers generally not loaded up and performance in other areas is fine. Running Azure DevOps Server 2020 Update 1.2. Any updates?

We have this issue as well, in our case we've narrowed it down to it working for our internal users but not our external users (that are logging into the same environmeent on a different URL)

Similar to above, our users remotely over VPN have the issue, none of the users in our office do. Same domain, same web browser (Chrome), same spec machines. Side note - we've also noticed that the users with the problem see a different font when it does load - like a CSS or webfont isn't being loaded properly.

One of our testers found that increasing latency to 500ms (by using Clumsy) on our internal network would guarantee throwing the error. We have a remote user with a 320ms ping who experiences the error regularly. The same tester also found that any speeds slower than 3200kbit/sec would trigger the error.

Please can this be addressed urgently as this is affecting our ability to track work items. We store important information in these fields and if they don't load then it affects the ability of our people to do their work.

Here's an example of where the control worked for a couple of fields (Technical Specifications, Business Requirements), but not Needs Spec Updated - other times it will fail for all the MV fields - also note the font is wrong for the control in the Business Requirements field, it has failed to load the correct font:

Same issue and right now i refresh like for one hour and i can't use it. that field is required

I am also running into this situation. It's a very slick control, but about 30-40% of the time I load a work item the control times out.
