How to build from tarball

I'm not sure is it supported. Build fails if source of Arch's build script is replaced with https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/archive/refs/tags/${pkgver}.tar.gz.

1.5 GB+ of git clone is heavy cost for people building on /tmp.
