VS Code high memory usage and slow performance

Type: Performance Issue

After updating to the latest version, ram usage increased significantly, and VS Code becomes noticeably slow even with no extensions enabled.

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

Tried:

  • Disabling all extensions
  • Fresh install VS Code
