Unable to Login to Azure in VS code

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version: 1.97.2
  • OS Version: 10.0.19045

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to the Command Palette
  2. Type Azure: Sign In
  3. Click Allow in the pop-up window
  4. Select the Account I want to sign into
  5. Nothing happens

I have been unable to log in to Azure Resource Extension using my Azure credentials. This issue started occurring after I updated VSCode to version 1.97.2. Previously, I was able to log in without any issues.

After further investigation, I found that I can log in only when switching the authentication method to Classic mode. However, this option will soon be deprecated.

I've attached the output from the output pane from the Microsoft Authentication Output channel

I would appreciate any insights or troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue. Please let me know if additional details are required
