Parentheses lost context

Type: Bug
This is happening to me about a month ago. Editing anything in the parentheses will destroy text content including the parentheses itself. This bug happen randomly, restarting the editor wont fix it, restarting the system will. Waking up the PC from sleep or hibernation seems to be the one of the cause.

That's not a problem. You just need to on num-lock and then press insert key. This problem will be gone.
Hi @nawi-harta yes as the previous user mentioned it looks like you have insert or overtype mode disabled. You can toggle this off using the command View: Toggle Overtype/Insert Mode from the command palette. Could you please confirm that doing so fixes your issue?
Hi, I can confirm that View: Toggle Overtype/Insert Mode fix the problem. And also this (toggle) is still happens randomly and I didn't know why. Thank you all for your time
Hi thank you for the response. You are likely activating the keybinding associated to the action which toggle the insert mode. If you do not need this action, you can go into the keybinding editor, find the action entry, right click and select remove keybinding from the context menu. This will remove the keybinding and prevent you from activating the mode.
