Native git extension `git.autofetch` is autofetching even if option is disabled

With the february 2025 release every 30 seconds I get a prompt to add my SSH key to pull changes from GitHub. The issue is not the prompt for my ssh key, which works as expected, but the fact that the Git extension is auto fetching even though I have the option git.autofetch disabled.
