Sync Settings Login Loop after January 2025 Update
Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes
- VS Code Version: 1.97.1
- OS Version: Windows 10 Pro 22H2
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open VS Code
- Notified to login to sync setting
- Start login procedure
- Popup appears
- Enter email (MS Outlook.com Account)
- Enter password
- Popup disappears
- No change in stated - still requesting login
I have seen there are a number of other issues related to the new auth - but their logs seem to indicate a different issue.

I have been using classic auth since this issue arose. Just removed that from the settings and it appears to log in - at least it states logged in. Still quite a few warnings in the Microsoft Authentication output:
