macOS Text Replacement Auto Trigger

i have a text replacement that replaces "u" with "you". when i enter the word "update". when any ASCII character is entered after "u", the whole text got replaced with "youo". when tab is pressed "youou" is displayed. when delete is pressed "you" is displayed. with arrow key pressed, the text replacement hint disappeared. after dismissing the text replacement, the text replacement does not occur. with any " or ' or ` pressed, it appends after the "youo" text.
suggested fix: some macOS application on menu bar have this "Edit > Substitutions > Show Substitutions > Text Replacement". visual studio code does not have. I believe this is default implementation from the macOS side.
