unable to delete history - file doesn't exist

I'm trying to delete history becuase VSC is no longer showing code changes that I have made. When I run the code it's not showing the changes. It's showing older versions. I've tried to dlete the history from your help commands menu bit I get an error message stating that the hsitory file doesn't exist.

I have deleted my browser's (google) history.
