Source Control bug
Type: Bug
GitHub repositories with large changes get stuck when loading and sometimes don't display the files where they should.
- Pulled from remote.
- More than 10k files were updated.
- Some files had merge changes (unmerged conflicts).
- Terminal output when attempting to commit:
error: Committing is not possible because you have unmerged files.
hint: Fix them up in the work tree, and then use 'git add/rm <file>'
hint: as appropriate to mark resolution and make a commit.
fatal: Exiting because of an unresolved conflict.
- Merge changes don't show up in Source Control, so deleted files cannot be fixed with the Merge Editor.
- Changes do show up after
git commit, but when opening the files, these don't show the button to Resolve in Merge Editor. - Git: Merge Editor - Open the merge editor for files that are currently under conflict. Is deactivated by default.

Setting git.statusLimit to a higher value than the amount of changes will allow the changes to show up in Source Control. Unfortunately, even when doing that, Resolve in Merge Editor button still does not show up and if there is a file that has been deleted causing a conflict, then it will show the option to delete it or keep the version without showing a preview of the file.

@krizerator, sorry for not getting back to you on this until now. Could you please provide me with a set of steps that I could follow in order to try to reproduce this? Thanks!
