VS Code is crashing

Open uni-kod opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Screenshot from 2024-06-26 21-04-56 Type: Bug

VS Code is crashing and sometimes only view window is crashing. Firstly it started to not open completely and then I uninstalled it by "apt purge code", and installed it again, then it started but it is crashing sometimes. I tried also to delete "~/.config/Code/" and "~/.vscode" and then 'apt purge code' and then 'apt install code' but the problem remained.

Note: OS is Debian 12

VS Code version: Code 1.90.2 (5437499feb04f7a586f677b155b039bc2b3669eb, 2024-06-18T22:33:48.698Z) OS version: Linux x64 6.1.0-18-amd64 Modes:

Facing the same issue, did anyone find a solution to this?

I have used vs code for a long time but this problem came after this update

Does the issue continue to occur in VS Code 1.96? If yes, could you attach a crash report following the steps at Creating a Crash Report?

Right now VS Code is working without any issues. I am using the version:

Version: 1.96.0
Commit: 138f619c86f1199955d53b4166bef66ef252935c
Date: 2024-12-11T02:29:09.626Z
Electron: 32.2.6
ElectronBuildId: 10629634
Chromium: 128.0.6613.186
Node.js: 20.18.1
V8: 12.8.374.38-electron.0
OS: Linux x64 6.1.0-28-amd64

I have also installed a fresh copy of Debian 12 OS, the previous one was making problems because of "anaconda", maybe because of it VS code was not working properly.

Does the issue continue to occur in VS Code 1.96? If yes, could you attach a crash report following the steps at Creating a Crash Report?

Closing this issue. Feel free to open a new issue if you're starting to see more crashes again.
