Links not opening in LibreWolf

Open Konglomneshued opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes

  • VS Code Version:
1.80.0
660393deaaa6d1996740ff4880f1bad43768c814
x64
  • OS Version: EndeavourOS Cassini Nova R2

Steps to Reproduce: Unsure how to reproduce, here is what I do:

  1. Terminal: unset BROWSER
  2. Terminal: xdg-settings set default-web-browser librewolf.desktop
  3. Open VS Code
  4. Help > About (does nothing)
  5. I also have an error about an OS keyring (separate issue) and I click Open Troubleshooting Guide; it does nothing
  6. Open terminal
  7. echo "https://example.com/"
  8. ctrl-click the link; it does nothing
  9. Retry steps 3-8 with dev tools open; I see nothing in the console
  10. Double check my default browser
  11. Find the desktop file; it exists
  12. Check my environment variable; it is set correctly
  13. Open an HTML file in my explorer and it opens successfully in LibreWolf
  14. Install any updates and reboot my computer; issue persists
  15. Search existing issues; none are relevant

I installed from AUR.

The example opens in my browser as do other links I click in different software. Insiders is working for me rn.

Thanks for confirming, I don't see any recent fixes to link handling in core. But will wait for 1.81 stable and see if the issue still repros with stable.
