Bare minimum: Menu navigation with Mouse unavailable on code.visualstudio.com

Open MegMM opened this issue 10 months ago • 3 comments

Does this issue occur when all extensions are disabled?: Yes/No

  • VS Code Version: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs
  • OS Version: Windows 10 on PC/Firefox 134.0.2

Sorry if this isn't the right place to file. Support link at bottom of Website goes to Business Support.

Steps to Reproduce:

  1. Go to main url for Docs: https://code.visualstudio.com/docs
  2. No visual way to scroll up and down the left-hand side menu

Drop-down arrows are displayed for various languages but the menu only goes to: Overview Setup Getting Started User Guide Source Control Terminal GitHub Copilot Languages Node.js / JavaScript TypeScript Python

and cuts half-way through Java.

  1. Hovering over the area and using the keyboard arrow keys works; this is not an accessible method for navigation.

Thanks

I confirmed after zooming in the page that the options at the bottom of an expanded menu get cut off.

@rzhao271 regarding scrolling, the ToC should probably show a scrollbar (on hover?) to indicate and allow scrolling without the mouse scroll wheel. Right now, you can scroll with the scroll wheel, but there is no visual indicator that it's possible.

Sorry, couldn't back to this sooner. I don't have a scroll wheel available to me. Thanks for checking it out!
