Doesn't work for Long messages

Open Shoriful732 opened this issue 10 months ago • 13 comments

In the Github copilot chat. at first it was really powerful and worked fine, but now it simply does not work for longer messages. it shows "unhandled status from server: 400 bad request: no user message, only message was a "system" message" If I write a long message.

Same here, for relative large messages I get the same message: unhandled status from server: 400 bad request: no user message, only message was a "system" message

I am getting same error: unhandled status from server: 400 bad request: no user message, only message was a "system" message

I'm putting a user message, asking it about a part of the python code. I've tried putting the code in a code block and without. Its very frustrating, making a product I pay for useless.

I believe this has been fixed. Can anyone test again and confirm?

lramos15 avatar May 29 '24 22:05 lramos15

No, still exist it forgets long text just 300+ lines code

fisforfaheem avatar May 30 '24 18:05 fisforfaheem

Ok so no error, it just says that it doesn't have access? I'm asking if the error message is still showing specifically

lramos15 avatar May 30 '24 18:05 lramos15

Both, sometimes when u slect long text for some reason, and sometimes without even selecting if the code is a bit large

Same problem. I'm thinking buy ChatGPT Pro and change copilot for GPT

SandroG1977 avatar Aug 04 '24 23:08 SandroG1977

Why doesnt the copilot understand my full project ??? as it so claims??

fisforfaheem avatar Aug 25 '24 13:08 fisforfaheem

Finally Moved to Bito, it´s extremely better than Copilot

SandroG1977 avatar Aug 27 '24 19:08 SandroG1977

copilot is so dumb that it gives a general implementation even if we give it context, with billions in revenue they cant increase the context

fisforfaheem avatar Aug 28 '24 17:08 fisforfaheem

We've increased the token budget quite a bit, so you should not run into this. Hope that helps, happy coding!
