terminal
terminal copied to clipboard
After launching, Copy/Paste works only once. This is for WSL, PowerShell etc. It does not work after that, until I restart my machine. Then, same problem - works only once again.
Windows Terminal version
1.18.3181.0
Windows build number
10.0.22621.2861
Other Software
No response
Steps to reproduce
Very easy, it works only once and then it doesn't.
Expected Behavior
Work every single time.
Actual Behavior
Copy/Paste works only once. It does not matter, if I use keyboard or mouse for interaction.

Hi! We broadly refactored how the clipboard works in #15360, which is now included in WT Preview v1.19. Would you mind testing it on that version and seeing if the issue still occurs? Thanks!
Still the same, I tried v1.19 and also the nightly canary release as well.
Thanks. Could you repro the issue and submit a trace using feedback hub? Please submit it under the "Input and Language" > Clipboard (Copy and Paste)
node.
A number of people at my company have had this same issue starting mid-December. Currently while running in Windows Terminal I can paste, but I can't copy except for the once. For some users the issue went away and for others it persists.
Windows Terminal 1.18.3181.0
Edition Windows 11 Enterprise Version 22H2 OS build 22621.3007 Experience Windows Feature Experience Pack 1000.22681.1000.0
I'm going to have to try this out in a different PC before capturing and sending a trace. Where is the feedback hub? Is that a windows 11 item? It's not coming up in my work one.
You can open Feedback Hub using Win+F
. It's supposed to be distributed with Windows. If you have access to a PC that does have Feedback Hub and reproduces this issue, that'll be very helpful for diagnostic purposes. Thanks!
Is there another way to get information for this issue? We have multiple developers that can't use terminal since copy/paste doesn't work. Since we are all enterprise users none of us have Feedback Hub on our machines nor can we install it since the windows store is disabled
Having same issue - just opened another case. Win32NT 10.0.22631.0 Microsoft Windows NT 10.0.22631.0 WT = 1.20.10822.0
This issue is not closed - it is back.
(actually we're tracking this in 1.19/1.20 over in #16982)
