Auto format of strings doesn't work until you reload VS code

When typing a { in a string, automatically puts an f on the front of the string. sometimes this function does not work. can you help to fix it?

Thanks for the issue. This seems to have regressed. I can't get it to work anymore.

Ah must have been recent changes around indentation causing a problem. It works in our 2024.3.102 Prerelease version.

Can you try that version and let me know if you still have a problem?

Oh no it seems this setting requires a reload. Installing a new version of the pylance extension caused the reload for me.
