The overview ruler doesn't indicate selections when the Pylance extension is enabled

Steps to reproduce:

• have the Pylance extension enabled
• have the language se to python
• make a selection in the editor

Expected:

• the overview ruler visually indicates text in the fule that match the selection

Actual:

• no such visual indications in the overview ruler

As a consequence of the above, if invoking with code-insiders --disable-extensions the problem will not be present.

This problem bears resemblance to https://github.com/microsoft/vscode/issues/187120.

Details

Problem is only present when

• the language of the file is set to python
• the Pylance extension is enabled

If Pylance is first disabled and then enabled, the problem is only triggered after also doing Developer: Reload Window. To reproduce this:

• disable Pylance
• reload
• verify selection indicators do show
• enable Pylance
• -> selection indicators will still show, also after changing the selection
• do Developer: Reload Window
• problem present again: selection indicators won't show

Invoking with code-insiders --disable-gpu has no effect on the presence of the problem.
