For control Calendar Would it be possible to extend this with 2 additional input events:

go to today's month (to preselect today's month when control is used in date picker custom control)
go to month of selected date (to assure that when end user manually changes date - then closes date picker - and re-opens calendar - we can start from month where we have our selected date / not from month where end user left control during last browsing session) I would really appreciate those 2 events to be added to Calendar control - this would assure fully functional Date Picker can be built using Creator Kit Calendar control (this control would not have issues that Dataverse for Teams Fluent UI Date Picker has)

Thanks for the suggestions regarding Calendar Control to build a fully functional Date Picker.

As Modern Controls (in preview) are natively available in Powerapps, we highly recommend you to try the DatePicker control.

Please let us know if it works for you.

Hi @Ramakrishnan24689,

Creator Kit version of Calendar Control is more powerful - 1 feature that is much better is localization (support of multiple languages - although here I can also see bugs inside Creator Kit (e.g. Polish translations of the days - e.g. Sunday in Polish is "Niedziela" not "Słońce"). But translations can be easily fixed for anyone with strong demand (as Creator Kit is open source).

Is there any chance you will work more with Calendar control - recently not much is happening with those controls?

Yes, we will continue to support creator kit and address every functional bug that we encounter based on the capacity.

Just so you know, Modern controls supports localization and is worth trying out.

One of the biggest issues with the Modern controls is that they do not support theming. You cannot change colors, fonts, any visual aspects of the controls. For me, that eliminates them from use entirely.

I see on your screenshot that you had to change browser language to force whole Maker environment + control to adopt Localization settings => many times (almost always) I would like to change Localization on the fly (dynamically) Modern controls do not offer this / Creator kit control they do (see below Language property)

New Theming system will be available in upcoming weeks as stated in this blog post. https://powerapps.microsoft.com/en-us/blog/june-2023-updates-for-modernization-in-power-apps/

This will give more flexibility to change colors and fonts.

I saw that article, the update will provide the same theming that is available today, where you can select from several fixed OOTB themes. Custom theming is still "in development". We use custom themes for all our apps. Until custom theming is available, or exposed properties for color and font are available, we cannot use them.

Can you please also work with Calendar localization that can be dynamically changed in runtime (not needing to change browser language)? Calendar is special control that is very hard for Low Code makers to localize (there must be pro code component with this feature enabled)
