[Bug]: Apple pay button is not available on the webkit browser

Open DavitV-yan opened this issue 4 months ago • 3 comments

Version

1.54.0

Steps to reproduce

Hi, I’m testing an app that includes an Apple Pay feature. When running tests in the WebKit browser, the Apple Pay button doesn’t appear. However, I can see the button on Safari (desktop) and on iPhone without any issues. Could you please look into this and, if possible, provide a fix?

Expected behavior

Since WebKit is the engine behind Safari, I expect the Apple Pay button to be available in WebKit as well

Actual behavior

Apple pay button is not available in webkit browser

Additional context

No response

Environment

System:
OS: macOS 15.3

Apple Pay is not part of WebKit, its part of the proprietary part of Safari, hence its not available in our WebKit. I'll mark it as p3-collecting-feedback since we could in theory provide our own implementation so its possible to mock/test it.
