Summary
On November 11th, Visual Studio 2026 and .NET 10 STS were jointly released. One month later, the WinUI toolchain of Visual Studio still uses .NET 8 and has not been upgraded to .NET 10. Moreover, .NET 8 cannot be forcibly removed. Both .NET 10 and .NET 8 are STS versions. Therefore, it is hoped that the .NET base version of the Visual Studio WinUI toolchain can be upgraded to .NET 10 as soon as possible and allow users to remove .NET 8
