Serious Sync Issue - Extension Unusable

This is a duplicate of https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/live-share/issues/4887 It happens randomly, so no clear reproduction steps. However, it happens frequently, so it shouldn't be very difficult to reproduce.

This bug makes the extension unusable, as the most crucial part (text-editing) does not work reliably and even causes data-loss :/

Thanks for taking the time to file this issue. Live Share has had some reports of de-syncs over the years and typically these are difficult to reproduce or debug, thereby impeding our ability to fully resolve all edge-cases. Sometimes it can be environment specific such as: large files/projects/solutions or unstable connectivity. Though the reports are generally rare, given the number of sessions we see per day, the impact is of course high when it does happen.

In addition:

• Were both host and guest on VS Code desktop or web?
• Did you notice other connectivity issues during the session?
