Live Share following in jupyter notebook can't be disabled and is enabled by default

Open anandijain opened this issue 2 years ago • 4 comments

When I use a juptyer notebook on liveshare with a friend, it seems he is following me by default, and can't disable it.

This makes usage very disorienting to use. It gets bad when I try to follow him, because then he is following me (which cannot be disabled) and I am following him. This effectively forces me to quit VSCode and start a new session.

Thank you for your time, I like live share very much!

bump (? I'm currently experiencing the same issue as well and sometimes the whole Jupyter window even just keep scrolling up and down on its own, and in the worse case I can't even close vscode and doesn't get fixed until restarting vscode :(

Hi, I'm still experiencing this issue. Would be great if it could be solved. Thanks!

Any update on this? Makes it very impractical to collaborate on notebooks with Live Share.

My current workaround: If the host moves into a non-notebook file eg. a text file, you are usually able to unfollow and won't be dragged about afterwards.
