Method to dismiss the "Sign in required for X" on services not used
I currently only use Microsoft AD login, but there's a notification bubble asking me to login to GitHub, that won't dismiss.
This issue is stale because it has been open 30 days with no activity. Remove stale label or comment or this will be closed in 5 days.

Yes, please. This ought to be the default - only request authentication if there's no available method already filled out.
It would also be great to dismiss the sign in notification for services that you do use. I use Live Share occasionally, so most of the time I'm not signed in. But that means I end up with a notification badge that I can't dismiss. 😢
