WSL 2 + Audio doesn't work

Describe what happened:

When using Live Share with a WSL project, audio sharing doesn't start and gives no errors.

What was your system configuration? Version: 1.43.2 (system setup) Commit: 0ba0ca52957102ca3527cf479571617f0de6ed50 Date: 2020-03-24T07:38:38.248Z Electron: 7.1.11 Chrome: 78.0.3904.130 Node.js: 12.8.1 V8: 7.8.279.23-electron.0 OS: Windows_NT x64 10.0.19041

Live Share Extension Version: 1.0.1891, audio share v0.1.80

Steps to Reproduce / Scenario:

  1. open code from WSL2
  2. start live share - this works fine
  3. start audio - nothing happens

I'm assuming this is because the audio extension runs in the WSL while it should be running on the host?

Please attach logs to this issue: The logs result in a 0-byte zip file :(

I had a chat with @jramsay and while we support WSL for certain scenarios, audio is not one of them today. Assigning to our PM @fubaduba for formal planning.

We're unable to prioritize fixes to this area as we re-evaluate our priorities and product direction. We understand that this maybe disappointing. We appreciate your input and comments on this issue till now. We will soon be sunsetting this feature and will work towards a better use experience for communication needs for Live Share users from the editor.
